How to Apply

A leased circuit is a dedicated link provided between two fixed locations for exclusive use of the customer. A leased circuit may be speech circuit, a data circuit or a telegraph circuit .

Leased line charges depend on

        1) Distance
        2) Type of Circuit
        3) Bandwidth

Minimum hiring period for all regular leased circuits is one year. At the time of hiring of new Leased Circuits, customers can pay 1 year advance charges either in cash OR 3 months charges in cash & Bank Guarantee/Undertaking for the remaining 9 months period.

1. Discount for Long Distance Circuits

For bandwidth of 2 Mbps and above, there will be a Discount of 25% for long distance component between the cities of : (Channel portion of LD) for following cities.

Adilabad, Agra, Ahmedabad, Akola, Allahabad, Ananthpur, Aurangabad, Bangalore, Beharampur, Belgaum, Bhuj, Bilaspur, Chandrapur, Chennai, Coimbatore, Cuttack, Davangere, Dhule, Ernakulam, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Goa, Godhra, Guragaon, Gorakhpur, Hubli, Hyderabad, Indore, Jabalpur, Jammu, Jhansi, Kalyan, Kanpur, Karimnagar, Karwar, Kharagpur, Kolkata, Kota, Kottayam, Kozikkode, Ludhiana, Madurai, Mangalore, Maral malai Nagar, Moradabad, MUMBAI, Mysore, Nanded, Nagpur, Nasik, Nellore, New Delhi, Noida, Pune, Purulia, Rajkot, Raigad ,Ratnagiri, Rourkela, Selam, Sambalpur, Shimoga, Shivpuri, Sholapur, Srinagar, Surat, Trichi, Trissur, Tirupur,Vadodara, Varanasi,Vellore, Vijayavada,Vishakapattanam, & All STATE CAPITALS and UNION TERRITORIES not covered above.

2. Discount for Local Leased Circuits with B/W 45 Mbps & above

Discount for Local Leased Circuits having Bandwidth of 45 MBPS & above, is given in the table below.

The registration and billing of all leased circuits are centrally dealt by the GM (leased circuits)

The registration charges : NIL.

No charges for New Registration Form.

Types Of Circuits

MTNL provides different types of leased circuits as given below:

Speech Circuits - Local or Long distance circuits within two locations in a city or between two different cities provided for the same applicant. The Terminating equipment at both ends is telephone without dialling facility. Both way signalling and speech is possible.

Data Services Local or Long distance data circuits at different speeds viz. 64 Kbps,nx64 kbps ,2 mbps. and above. Data Circuits are of different types:

These Data Services may be further divided as below:

Point to Point Data Circuits - Local and Long Distance

Private Data Network - More than one Local or Long Distance leased circuits converging on a location such that data from one leased circuit can be transferred automatically to another leased circuit for the same subscriber.

Closed User Group - Leased circuits can be used by more than one legal entity if they form closed user group. The following categories of user groups constitute closed user groups for the purpose of licensing Private Telecom Networks.

1. Producer of goods and his whole -sale traders /agents.

2. Provider of service (not being a telecommunication service) and his whole-sale traders/agents.

3. Producers of same categories of goods.

4. Providers of the same category of service.

5. Holding company and its subsidiaries.

6. Interconnected undertakings.

7. Companies under the same management

8. Travel agents issuing tickets on the member airlines, whose network they use including the network of a group of member airlines.

9. Computerized Reservations System (CRS) service providers owned by airlines.

10. Shared networks of banks for use of Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs), Electronic Points of Sale(EPOS)/credit authorization terminals.

11. Financial institutions registered primarily to deal in securities and their agents/dealers.

12. Financial institutions registered as Mutual funds and their agents.

13. Financial institutions which are registered as depositories and their agents/dealers.

14. Other non-banking financial institutions.

Telegraph & Teleprinter Circuits: Local and Long distance Telegraph and Tele-printer Circuits.

International Leased Circuits: Provided through VSNL

Internet Leased lines: dedicated Leased line from Customer's premises to the MTNL Internet Node. (For Tariff Please Refer Internet services.)
