SHIP SHORE RADIO TELEPHONE SERVICE

• Short range (VHF) and Long range (HF) available from Indian Coast Radio Stations.
• Long range shore-ship Radio Telephone Service is available with ships at high seas from Mumbai and Chennai.
• Short Range Radio Telephone service available with ships which are within 50 kmsfrom Mumbai, Calcutta, Cochin, Chennai and Vishakapatnam Coast Radio Stations.
• Dial '1586' for booking of calls and '1587' for information at major cities where International Trunk Assistance is available.
• Dial respective trunk booking codes in respect of other Cities/ Towns.
• There is only one class of Shore-ship calls.
• For further details contact Traffic Superintendent / Divisional Engineer (Trunks) / Sub Divisional Engineer of respective Trunk Exchanges.

• Extra Charges @ 25% of the basic slab for first 1 mnt. will be levied for PP facility.
• Booking valid upto next day of booking day.
• Calls are given as soon as possible after the booking. A second attempt is made within half to one hour of the first unsuccessful attempt.
• Third and final attempt is set up for the next day on specific request of the customer at '1587' service
• Alternate called number can be tried if the call is not connected on the first number.
• Supplementary charges are payable in case PP is not available or an established call is cancelled on the Customer's request or after the final attempt.
